How it works:
Over a 2 week period from 10th October to 24th October 2009 inclusive, we will be running a competition to see who is the best tipster.
For Example
You could choose to use:
50pts on a win for Horse no3 in Race 1;
20pts on a win for Horse no8 in Race 4;
15 pts each way on Horse no9 in Race 5.
The points accumulate according to the odds so if Horse no3 won at 4/1 you would gain 200pts.
If Horse no9 won at 10/1 you would gain an additional 187½ points (all places are settled at ¼ the odds so your total for that stake would be
15pts times 10 plus 15pts times 10/4).
Your total for that day would be 387½ points!
At the start of each day all registered tipsters will be allocated 100pts to play with and you can allocate your points against up to 3 horses.
You gain points depending on the odds and you can use your points however you wish, as long as you don't use them against more than 3
horses and you don't use more than 100 points each day. At the end of each day ALL points gained are allocated to your account.
Only your 3 highest
scoring days count towards your cumulative total.
The winner of the competition is the tipster with the highest points total at the end of the 2 week competition.
Each entrant plays under their own name and can represent a pub.
YOU MUST BE REGISTERED TO PLAY
You can enter the Champion Tipster competition either:
On the website
You must first
register your name and mobile number. The competition is free to enter if you open
a BoyleSports account; if you lodge just £10 you receive another
£10 FREE BET giving you £20 to bet with.
The races will be loaded daily, just log in to the competition web page using your mobile number and password, and select your horses from the race cards
by checking the box next to the horse name and entering your stake to win or each way (see example below).
From your mobile
To enter the competition via SMS please text the word
REGISTER along with your
NAME,
DATE of BIRTH,
EMAIL ADDRESS,
PUB NAME and
PASSWORD (for web entry) to
88101. Texts cost £8 network charges apply. You will receive 3 messages to conf
irm your
registration, 1 x £5 message and 2 x £1.50 messages.
Once registered you will receive a daily message informing you of the race details for that day (see Example).

Then simply text

To put 50pts on horse No1 to win in the 2.15 at Catterick (RACE A) your text would read
